COMPANY HISTORY

ProfitLink Consulting was established in Massachusetts in 1999 as New World Business Solutions (NWBS), a provider of enterprise application integration services with a specialization in J.D. Edwards technology. Their J.D. Edwards expertise has allowed them the opportunity to assist some of the world's leading companies (e.g., Manpower International, Symmons Industries, Tyco) and consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte Consulting) in management, technology, and software applications.

Leveraging the financial expertise of the company's founders, as well as their relationships with CPA firms, ProfitLink Consulting (NWBS) expanded its service offering by adding accounting leadership and business system consulting services to emerging growth companies in early 2000.

During the software industry consolidation of 2003-2004, ProfitLink Consulting (NWBS) continued to support those companies with a vested interest in JD Edwards technology, as well as develop new applications for those choosing to switch to PeopleSoft and / or Oracle. ProfitLink Consulting (NWBS) quickly became a "go-to" consulting firm for many ERP installations. The company opened a field office in Chicago, IL, to provide more localized support for its major clients.

The company's original name, New World Business Solutions, was selected based on specific software applications being utilized during the late 90s. After using the name for six years, they found it no longer applied to the business, and that the name had very low "name retention" qualities. The founders decided, in 2005, to change the name to ProfitLink Consulting to help build name recognition and to use as an aid in describing both aspects of its business. Specifically, helping to describe the company's goal of enhancing client profitability through building a better network (series of links) of information flow and analysis.

Today, ProfitLink Consulting has grown to be a leading supplier of ERP consulting services to some of the largest globally recognized companies. Moreover, the company has strengthened its position as a leading provider of professional accounting services to small and mid-sized businesses through a team of experienced financial and technology professionals.
