ProfitLink Consulting has been assisting the Law Office of Arthur P. Skarmeas with accounting and financial tasks since April 2007. The first phase of this business relationship was to review and update all accounting policies and procedures. This included reconciling operating, conveyancing and IOLTA bank accounts from 2005 to the present, as well as conducting a complete review of income statements for accuracy and reasonableness. Necessary modifications were made to the QuickBooks system.

Phase Two of the implementation is ongoing. ProfitLink Consulting provides staff accountant resources for processing accounting transactions including A/P, A/R, payroll and general ledger. Additionally, bank accounts, including IOLTA accounts, are reconciled on a monthly basis. Financial reports and analysis are provided to management. Also included in Phase Two are services performed by a senior controller resource from ProfitLink Consulting. Pro Forma Statements are reviewed with Management, as well as cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting. Communication with the firm's CPA allows for proper reporting of tax responsibilities.

The Law Office of Arthur P. Skarmeas was established to provide its clients with legal services in the areas of real estate law, estate planning, elder law and corporate law.
